| General Information The World Stunt Academy was launched in January of 2001, and thanks to the enormous support of the stunt community, our membership roster has grown to nearly 1,000 members worldwide. Taurus Statuettes will be given out to those men and women that have been selected by the members of the World Stunt Academy for doing the most outstanding work in each category. The submissions process is open to anyone who wants to see a stunt person or sequence be recognized, however, the voting process is only open to the World Stunt Academy members. Membership into the World Stunt Academy is free and is available to qualified stunt industry professionals. Once registered, members will be featured on the website as part of our membership registry and can log on and cast their votes for the award winners. The World Stunt Academy wishes to thank its members for their enthusiasm and support as well as Red Bull Energy Drink and its founder, Dietrich Mateschitz, for his vision in creating the Taurus World Stunt Awards and his generosity in underwriting the Taurus World Stunt Awards Foundation. Blue Ribbon Committee The Taurus World Stunt Awards is privileged to be led by a Blue Ribbon Committee of 19 prominent stunt professionals who lend their insight and expertise to make this event a huge success. These leading stunt professionals are part of the backbone of the World Stunt Academy as they dedicate themselves, their time and their own reputations to assist in further developing and refining the Awards, so that the program will best reflect the realities of the stunt profession. The Blue Ribbon Committee also has the great privilege of selecting each year’s recipient of the Taurus Lifetime Achievement Award. |
